Description

The Bridge Inn is somewhere I'd love to explore. It's outside the West Gate of the town of Penaggon; A pub where Pirates and Wizards can drink in peace -safe in the knowledge that the city guard are close (but not too close for comfort..)

They also serve Newky Brown Ale!

Because I do mostly 3D imagery, I decided to try my hand at painting again. This image was painted directly in photoshop, entirely from mind ( though I must confess, mostly as a "doodle";).The perspective may be all wrong, but at least there's not a straight line to be seen.

I saw the thumbnali and thought, another of Reeks' amazing 3d works - but that it was done in photoshop is even cooler.

so, so fine reminds me of teh good old D&D days

arhitecturally speaking teh volumes are intersected good. The round section of your inn is the informational piece of the structure otherwise it's not too well fitted there, because the form doesn't repeat it'self in the structure.
As for the tallest volume of your piece, i think u should have continued it down and made it a bit higher to make it a vertical dominant.

all in all SUPERBE!!! really good feel to everything

I agree what you say about the whole perspective thing being off, but I actually like that aspect of the picture. It adds to the fantasy feel of the place. Its so detailed and clear. I'll meet you in there for a pint later on! :)

BTW - I wanna rig a swing above the stairs so I can swing while drunk and babble to the people passing below. LOL!

I really enjoy your work, Rico, 2D and 3D. There's a lot of whimsy in the architecture of your buildings. I'd love to visit and spy on the characters that'd stop on by. And your trees are just beautiful. I can't wait to try your 3D tree tutorial you've been promising you're fans. (hint, hint, nudge!) ;) Great job!

I must be biased (I'm an avid AD&D DM and player, so your art really speaks to me!), but this is one of the best architectural paintings I've ever seen. I'm in awe of your talent, both 3D and 2D. My only complaint is: I've already checked out your gallery and I'm finished! Give me MORE! =) +7/7

Raul-Reznek: this would so fit in a D&D game (i'm such a depressive/romantic bastard)

Yeah, this piece makes a really good place for our D&D characters! Kinda reminds me of the Inn of the Last Home on Krynn. So i don't really agree that your comment is for depressive bastards only.
